The task I’ve given myself is to create a multi-platform marketing initiative targeting a young audience that is compelling, entertaining, fun, and involves the dance community. The task is to create a concept that can travel as a tour that visits a minimum of 3 – 4 cities and the first event must be done at a college in California sometime in 2010. Yes these are the kind of things I do for fun…LOL.
When I first began creating this project I didn’t know exactly what this project embodied. I knew that I wanted to include some of my closest dance friends, I knew that I wanted this to target a younger audience, (although I did go back and forth as to IF we could make this relevant to an older demographic as well.) and I knew that I wanted at least one major shoe sponsor involved.
Since it’s conception in 2009, I’ve created the vision on paper and now we just have to do it. Like NIKE said “Just do it.” Or my boy Michael Jackson said “This is the final curtain call.” When he said this I interpreted it as “Get off yo’ asses and get the job done…this is it!” We have ALOT of work to do, but there’s no time like the present to make a vision a reality. I TRULY believe that anything can be created! Where there’s a will there is a way! I’m working on this project with my partner Harry Shum and I’m proud to say we’ve made significant traction. We are in the process of finding a venue to produce the event at…the next step you ask? CONFIRM THE VENUE!
This is by far one of my favorite creations and I really look forward to seeing this vision come to life! Stay tuned! Updates to come!
